Although AMF manufactures and markets boron based micronutrients, the company uses R&D facilities to develop boron based products for other industries particularly for glass and ceramics.
CERACOL
Our in-house R&D has specifically developed CERACOL as a value addition for glaze formulations, tile and sanitary ware body formulations. Depending on the characteristics of the local raw material used:
- CERACOL can lower the melting temperature of glaze resulting in saving energy cost.
- CERACOL can be used in glaze formulations to replace Na-Feldspar.
- CERACOL can be added in tile body formulations resulting in decrease of firing temperature and good mechanical properties.
- CERACOL added in sanitary ware formulations results in maturing temperature decreases and vitrification range widening.
